The 1909 Chinese provincial elections were held to elect the members of the Provincial Assemblies (or Consultative Bureau) of China. The election was held between April and June 1909 in the 22 provinces of China as part of the New Policies as a move toward constitutional monarchy. The Constitutionalists gained grounds in the election and became more active in the constitutional movement pushing for the establishment of constitutional monarchy. The Prime Minister of the Imperial Cabinet 大清內閣總理大臣was a position created on 8 May 1911 during the late Qing dynasty, as part of the imperial government's unsuccessful attempts at creating a constitutional monarchy in China. In May 1911, the government replaced the Grand Council with a thirteen-member cabinet, led by Prince Qing, who was appointed Prime Minister of the Imperial Cabinet. When the Wuchang Uprising broke out in November 1911, the imperial court summoned the general Yuan Shikai to command the Beiyang Army and put down the revolution. He was named Prime Minister on 2 November 1911, shortly after Prince Qing stepped down. He remained in that office until March 1912, when he negotiated with Empress Dowager Longyu the abdication of the Xuantong Emperor. Delegates from the provincial assemblies were sent to Nanjing to publicly legitimize the authority of the provisional government of the Republic of China founded on 1 January 1912. They later also formed the provisional senate. The limited acts passed by this government included the formal abdication of the Qing dynasty and some economic initiatives. In late 1912, Chinese National Assembly elections were held with an enlarged electorate, albeit still small proportionally to the national population. Sun's Nationalist Party dominated both houses of the National Assembly. Song Jiaoren, the incoming Nationalist prime minister, was assassinated in March 1913 before the assembly's first session. Victorious, Yuan Shikai forced the National Assembly to elect him president for a five-year term then purged it of Nationalists. On 22 October 1900, Sun Yat-sen has ordered the launch of the Huizhou Uprising to attack Huizhou and provincial authorities in Guangdong. In Singapore, he met the local Chinese merchants Teo Eng Hock (張永福), Tan Chor Nam (陳楚楠) and Lim Nee Soon (林義順), which mark the commencement of direct support from the Nanyang Chinese. In China, the middle classes helped drive the Xinhai revolution. This "middle class" eventually overthrew the ruling monarchists, thus becoming the new ruling class or bourgeoisie in the new capitalist-dominated societies. Are Chinese Malaysian all trouble makers? Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Lim Eng Pyn 林永彬. As a scholar, I was also very actives in my co-curriculum activities. I also joined an event organised by Chinese Language Society. This event we’ve to go to the New Village to serve the community. After the interview session, I was being selected among crème de la crème. This event was called “Down To The Countryside Movement” 知识青年. The event was for duration of one year 4th quarter of 2003 – 4 quarter of 2004. We’ve goes to the new village in Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia for one week. The sent-down youth have organised events to learn and understand the life in the village. Besides this, “Educated” youth also helped to inculcate the impotency of education. The event was officiated by Mr Liow Tiong Lai, MP of Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia and he’s from Malaysian Chinese Association. During this event, I’ve a conflict with some event mates.
